Hi kushie.

We just woke up - very late for us. It's rainy and cloudy, so we'll probably not ride our bikes today. I need to get to the nursery for some plants, since we have finally filled one of the garden beds. Plus we're meeting the caterer for SSon's RD. I hope it involves tasting food.

Morning ladies!

I'm up! Pup woke us up at 4:45, then we went back to sleep, for a bit it was short lived.

I'm letting H sleep in. Yesterday, was his b-day so we went to hibachi last night so he could have sushi. Then I took him out for ice cream and we came home to wear the pup out.
Today is house cleaning day, I cant handle a dirty house!

And we need to get some projects done!

Im up and about getting ready to get going. Have to go to the farmers market, hit up the candle store again for my mom, go to the nursery for plants, go to Canadian Tire for planters and dirt, and then come home and plant it all. Gonna be a busy day but it is freaking AWESOME out. I love Saturdays like this!

Morning ladies! It is GORGEOUS today! Finally after all that rain we have been getting. I just had 14 vials of blood taken and am so proud of myself that I didn't pass out. My arm was numb though and I was a bit lightheaded, but I didn't faint. I am taking my mother to lunch today to avoid all the crap tomorrow. We are supposed to go to our friends' house tonight and some relaxing tomorrow. That is about it.

Good morning. More unpacking today. We have got to get organized. I can't walk in here for all the boxes. But we got the "master" bedroom done yesterday so at least I have an oasis I can sleep in. And we also got the living room pretty much arranged how it's going to be (we may add a bookshelf or two - or we may put them in the guest room when we get that far... we'll see). Today's challenge - the kitchen.

He's rotten D! He's funny, frustrating, cute, PITA all in one!

His potty training is going really well, we've started with the bell on the door training. I just want him to get to the stage of holding it longer.

KD - that comes with age. He'll get there. The bell was great for us.. until Autumn started ringing it every time we sat down for dinner just to make us get up and let her out. After a while we phased the bell out.

So, far he cant get to the bell, we have him confined to the LR.

Morning!

I'm drinking coffee and trying to get motivated to go shower. H and I have a bunch of errands to run today.

I'm also trying to decide what I'm making for brunch tomorrow for mother's day. So far I'm thinking (both are clicky):

Strawberry/almond stuffed french toast

Mini quiches

And probably some type of meat. Sausage? Bacon? I need to decide so I can go to the store.

Edit: Now that I think about it, that seems like a LOT of heavy food. Maybe I should just do the french toast and some type of meat? Thoughts?

Son already called trying to get out of Mother's Day tomorrow. However, he did have an idea to at least get together for coffee. Logistics! I am okay with that.

Hey girls.

I got woken up by my brother asking me if I would get to the mall early and wait in line at Champs for the new Jordans that came out today. He got called into work so I felt bad and did it. Well, now I know why there are riots and shiit at malls when new stuff comes out.

There was only about 15 people in front of me, mostly younger kids (late teens), but when I pulled into the mall parking lot I saw a kid walking to his car with 2 bags of shoes so I panicked thinking they opened early. I ran to the store like an idiot but they were not open. I see the kid walk back into the mall. He was a frigging employee. The kid in front of me got the last pair and I was pissed so I said something to the girl at the counter. I asked her how many pairs they got in, she told me 11. So I said, well only 8 people walked out with shoes so I'll take 1 of the 3 pairs you have left. She got really flip and goes "Actually, we sold 12 pairs." So I said "well that makes sense since I saw your employee walking out to his car 45 min before you opened with 2 pairs and Im assuming you all got a few pairs too."

Then while I was out front, another kid told me that they actually got 16 pairs at that store. So the employees took half of the shoes (at an employee discount) and are going to turn around and sell them for triple the price on the internet and to friends. Its such horseshit. Im going to contact the store manager and complain because thats just not fair. Only 8 friggin customers got a chance to buy them?

Morning everyone!

DH and I have been staying with the ILs for the past few days so we are closer to our building site. It's been really productive (we're nearly ready for our first inspection on Monday), but I'm ready to be back in my own house again. DH and I must act like old people cuz they're keeping us up too late.

I called the 800 number and got a really nice lady who told me to call customer relations on Monday and let them know. She said she has been getting calls all day about it and its important to let corporate know so they can do something about it in the future.

Also- my brother just told me he got a pair online from a kid in Texas. He said the kid told him he works at a store and between him and his 2 friends, they got 12 pairs. At a discount. WTF.

Blue, I think that is just ridiculous. Don't most stores have policies where employees can't use their discounts on new release or limited items?

They are allowed 1 pair with their discount but not before the store opens! I wouldnt have a problem if they had to wait in line with the rest of us, but cmon, walking out in front of us with the shoes in a bag. And this kid had 2 pairs, not 1.
