Father Daughter Song... Not Mushy!

I need some ideas about a song that would be appropriate for a father daughter dance, but not too mushy. I know it will be emotional anyway, but the more we can dance and laugh the better. I was thinking Brown Eyed Girl ( because I have brown eyes). What do you ladies think?

Thanks!

I think that might work, but ONLY if your dad will be comfortable dancing to an upbeat song. If he's not, Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World" is only about two minutes long, so you wouldn't be up there for an uncomfortably long period of time.

I used My Wish by Rascal Flatts.  It's not super sappy and it was slow enough for my dad to comfortably dance to (he doesn't like to dance).  Also, my H and my mother danced together while my dad and I danced, so we didn't want something that was too "daddy's little girl" sounding.

My father and I are dancing to Dean Martin I wish you love. Before we picked that song we were thinking What a wonderful world.

I like "My Girl" for upbeat father/daughter songs. I'm also leaning towards the Beatles' "In My Life," or Paul Simon's "Father and Daughter". Probably end up on Paul Simon because my dad likes it. :-)

We are dancing to What A Wonderful World but we also considered Forever Young - it's not very sappy.  I let my dad make the decision.

We are doing The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra.  It's nice, but not sappy.
