AW: FG Dress Check and Question (PIP)

My aunt (FGs' mom) just sent me pics of my FGs in their dresses. They need a few alterations (and my aunt needs some sash tying practice!), but I think they look really cute in them!

She asked me how I want them to wear their hair. I think up will be best for July, but beyond that I have no idea. Do you girls that have FGs know how they will wear their hair? My aunt is looking to me to give her suggestions, but haven't given this any thought yet.

  • Oh my gosh Bmore!  They are so cute!  Are they twins?  I have no suggestions for you just wanted to tell you how cute they are!

  • Yes, they're technically identical, although they look very different to me!

  • Awwww they are adorable. I have no ideas on the girls' hair. I would look on pinterest.

  • How adorable!  My DD is my FG and she's 11.  She has really thick wavy/curly hair and I'm doing hers similar to mine with just the front part pulled back and the rest down, but her hair holds curls well and I only have one to do.  Our wedding is also entirely indoors.  It might be easier to put theirs up and if yours is outside, it will definitely be cooler for them.

  • they're adorable!!! Our FG is 2 and she doesn't have long hair like they do!! yet!  We'll probably put a purple bow in her hair! hopefully she'll keep it in!! haha

I think up will be best with some ringlets!

Your FGs look adorable.  I'm not sure how I'm having my flower girls mother do her hair.  Her mom is one of my BMs and she is creative she is constantly doing amazing things with her daughters hair.  If you go to the site www.babesinhairland.com there are tons of hairstyles for little girls here are some of the ones I'm thinking of using.

    Hope this helps Smile

  • Your FGs look adorable.  My FG's hair is very thin so she'll probably wear her hair down with a cute headband or some cute barrettes.. not quite sure yet though.

  • love the dresses and especially how happy they look to be wearing them!  My FG's mom found a headband with a side flower that presses against the head that matches the exact hue of her dress.  I saw her in it for the first time today and I teared up!
  • Aww they look so cute, love the dresses!

I have no clue yet, I haven't even thought about this. But I agree with your thinking that up might be better due to the heat. We'll probably do something up for the 2 girls with long hair but the other 2 have very short hair so I'm thinking a headband or bow for them.

  • Wow they are sooo cute! Just a tip on hair that my hairdresser gave me for my FG - it's July and it's hot and they are young(my FG is 7). She recommend that we not give the FG an elaborate hair do because it would inevitably look like crap. She recommended simpler styles because in the heat with kids they are going to end up playing with it or running around and having it fall out and then it will look bad for the pictures.

Omgosh! Your girls are killing me! They are TOO cute!! :)

I agree with Brandeeteer. Probably keeping the style simple will be best. Kids are bad at keep hairstyles intact haha. And I'm sure the heat won't help. However I do really like Tchiumi's last two pics. I have no idea if that would be considered complicated though? I also like her first pic..

Are you planing on any flowers, wreaths or bows in their hair? Little things like that always help spruce up simple styles. Here's a link I found of really cute styles that look fairly easy :)

  • Thanks for all of the ideas! I'll share some of these with my aunt. Their hair is pretty fine and I don't think it holds curls well, so probably something structured with lots of bobby pins will work best for them.

  • oh my gosh they are SO CUTE!!! Can I steal one of them to be a flower girl for us? I am STILL sad that we don't have a FG or ring bearers.
