Has anyone used him? He is one of the preferred vendors at the Athenaeum, but I haven't seen too much about him on here.

    He came recommended to me but was already booked for my date when I contacted him. seems like a nice guy and referred a few other people that he knew was in my budget. I've heard good things.

    I have heard great things about him, as well.  When I was researching DJs last spring, I contacted him and he got back to me very quickly - like within minutes.  He ended up being booked for my date , but I was impressed with him, and read a lot of great reviews online.

    Ryan referred me to Pete Donhour of Midwest Pro DJ and that's who we booked for our August Wedding. I'm really excited about working with him. His Web site is http://www.midwestdjpro.djintelligence.com/ and his number is 419-236-9179. He owns the business and because it's just him he is a lot more affordable. I also liked that I was going to be having him DJ the wedding not just some guy that worked for him.

    Thanks everyone! That makes me feel better! Two of the DJs on the preferred vendor list for the Athenaeum were already booked for my date, and I just hadn't heard that much about Ryan Smith. Glad to hear you all have heard good things!

    I am using Ryan for my ceremony and reception! I like that he has one fixed price and doesn't nickel and dime on hours of music and number of systems. (He is setting up one system for the ceremony and one for the reception at no extra charge.)

    Also, he does get back to you very quickly. I once emailed him about finding a particular version of a song and he researched it and got back to me within an hour.

    We used him for our wedding at the Atheneaum last March (2010) and absolutely LOVED him! He was my favorite vendor that we hired. Highly recommend him.
