Originally we didn't think we would need a videographer. Now I'm wondering if I should at least have one for the ceremony. I figure there are details of the ceremony that I am going to want to have on a DVD, like our vows. I also don't want to miss little details like my girls walking down the aisle, and other things that I won't be able to see, since I come down the aisle last. For those of you who have used a videographer, did you think it was worth it? And for those who are planning on using one, any idea of pricing? Or recommendations for good ones?

    I decided at the last minute that I had to have a videographer.  It was the best decision and I am so sorry that we only hired him for part of the night.  Since we had such a crappy outcome with our photographer, it was so nice to have the video, I was able to see some of what she missed in our photos.  We used David Michnowicz and he was awesome and super easy to work with.

    Mine is DL Video Productions - his smallest package is around $2800, but he's amazing. I am incredibly excited about his work.

    OP, we got a videographer because I saw my parent's video, which included my recently deceased grandparents dancing polka. I had to have a video after that. We're using <a href="http://www.rivideopro.com/" rel="nofollow">RI Video Pro</a> (clicky) because he offers a package of JUST the unedited video, which is a lot cheaper than the edited packages I found elseware.

    We're using Louis from Capture It All in milford: http://captureitall.com/ He has really affordable packages. We're paying about $1500 for ceremony, photo session and reception coverage, 3 dvds, and editing with a highlight set to music (like a preview). Check him out.
