Too hot for outdoor wedding?

HI!
I'm getting married August 20th of this year and my fiance and I are concerned its going to be way too hot for an outdoor wedding. We are having trouble finding somewhere near Alton, IL that does a wedding indoors.. any suggestions? Is it too hot this time of year for outdoors?

    I think it would be ok as long as you have a short ceremony and a later start time. 
    (ex 20 min ceremony starting at 6 p.m.)

    I can't help with any location suggestions - sorry.

    Mid-August is sooo hot in the Alton area (grew up in Edwardsville). 

    It might be okay for just a very short ceremony and an indoor reception.  An outdoor reception would be miserably hot.
