We opened a separate account to do all of the saving. It was so much easier. It's only in FI's name and that's a pain in the ass... But, oh well. It fills up quickly. lol.
FI got his awesome tax return back and plopped it all into our savings account (currently the Wedding Fund). I feel so much better.
We got a few RSVPs last night but one of them made me especially ecstatic. My mom is the youngest of 10 children and it always seems that with a family that large someone is always the "black sheep". Well the one in our family is my uncle, her brother. It's mostly undeserved although he did stay away himself for a while because he was mad at my step-grandpa when grandma died. This was 14 years ago so people need to get over it. His own twin refused to allow his son to invite him to their wedding last year. Makes me sick. Even when he has been invited to weddings, he normally doesn't show but he called last night and RSVPed YES for him and his wife. He's even taking his vacation the week after to make sure he can drive up from TN and not have to worry about work trying to pull something over the weekend.
He's seriously one of my favorite uncles and I'm so excited!

-We updated our spread sheet with the new RSVP's. -We went for our 2nd dance lesson. It has gotten much easier and we are having a blast doing them -decided on what dessert to get for the RD. Just need to call and order them -Started on a batch of thank you's from my work potluck and the few presesnts we have gotten in the mail the last few days.

June 2012 March Siggy Challenge: Honeymoon location 215 Invited so far! 160 Are ready to party! 30 Will be missing out! 25 Are MIA!
We had our final meeting with our partor last night...we're officially approved to get married!! We went over the marriage ceremony and we're for the most part decided on every detail! We just have to pick our hymn.
We were supposed to meet with our wedding coordinator last night too, but I got mixed up with our times and thought it was at 6:30, not 6, so we've rescheduled for next Tuesday.
I placed the order for our table numbers and mailed the deposit for our ceremony musicians!
I also ordered what I think/hope will be my rehearsal dinner dress!
It's A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz and their sizing is way different than J.Crew and Lilly, so I'm hoping it works out. If not, I have an idea for a backup, so I should be fine.
We're STILL waiting to hear back from our hotel contact about finalizing our room blocks. This really has been the most difficult part of the planning process.
I also finish addressing our invitations last night!! So happy to have that part done!! Now we just have to assemble them tonight and tomorrow and they'll be good to be taken to the post office (and hopefully hand cancelled) on Saturday morning!
Thanks ladies! I'm excited too because this will be the first wedding in SEVERAL years where all of the aunts/uncles on my mom's side will be there to have a big picture taken with the B&G.
Kelsey, that dress is cute. I hope it works out. The hotel thing sounds like a royal pain in the butt. I'm glad I didn't bother with that (rule breaker party of me, even though I've NEVER seen this done IRL).
My invitations finally made it to the mail this morning!!
I feel like things are totally falling into place with everything right now, we went over our budget last night and we're in such good shape it felt really good.

I found a pink basket at hobby lobby for $5. I snatched that up for programs. I also got some really great cards for my mom, dad, cantor, pianist, and priest

*YAY* That's great! I love when families really get to get together.
We have our first planning meeting with our venue tonight!!! AAHHHH!!! I am sure lots of checks will be accomplished, and I know for sure that I will be paying for 2/3 of our bill, which will be a good relief

I mailed the last of the invitations and updated our RSVP spreadsheet. FILs are in town for a surprise visit (just found out last night). FMIL wanted tips on how to lose weight for the wedding, so I'm going to do up a little workout plan for her.
