Welcome BAskets

Hey DE Brides,
I am looking for local things (snacks, drinks...) to put in the hotel welcome baskets. Any ideas?????

Re: Welcome BAskets

  • We're likely going to do this too, but it'll be more regional than DE-specific.  Snacks like Tastycakes, Utz chips, etc.  I'd also like to provide the single packs of Advil, Tums, and water bottles.
  • Cant go wrong with some philly soft pretzels!  tastykakes are always great...maybe a single bottle of Dogfish Head beer.  The advil and tums can also come in handy as well as a list of local restaraunts and activities for guests who will be in town for the weekend or several days.  We attended a wedding out of town and were given a list of places to go that were significant to the bride and groom...like the museum where he proposed, the restaraunt of their first date.  It was sweet, gave us something to do and kept the wedding weekend rolling since we knew it was all special to the bride and groom.

  • This may seem strange, but if you are looking regional you could put some Wawa products in your welcome baskets. I had to send a secret santa gift with local items and that is what I put in it. The recipient loved it!

  • FYI-you might want to find out if your hotel charges to hand these out to your guests before you make them, and decide if you want to spend the extra money. Mine charges $3 per bag, which surprised me.
