So my fiance and I have been engaged for right at 2 months, but next Friday is the anniversary of when we started dating....the first one... and he didn't even remember it until i mentioned that it was 9 days away yesterday (i know this is typical, not upset about him not realizing it)
but here's the thing...he used to be at least somewhat romantic....surprise flowers, smoothies, notes on my car...just little things that i loved! that all seemed to completely stop after the proposal....
he suggested tonight just renting a movie and making popcorn at one of our places for our date...which would be fine for just a regular weekend, but i want something special! i don't understand why he isn't excited and seems to have lost that romantic side... i even mentioned to him tonight that i found something i wanted to get for him and he says he isn't going to get me anything
am i wrong for being so disappointed? i feel like this is a big deal and want to celebrate it with him! what should i do? i tried talking to him and it just made him feel bad and call himself a "bad fiance"....but even after talking he still just wants to rent a movie.
