Need some help with heels...

I am having a very hard time finding the perfect shoe to go with my wedding dress!  I want an off-white,(my dress is ivory, but kind of looks off-whiteish)   maybe 2-3 inch heel, open toe with some kind of rhinestones or something on it that is pretty.  I see lots of heels I like in local stores, but I cannot find any in off-white or ivory that are anything close to what I'm looking for.....suggestions???  It can be an online store, too, but I am looking to purchase & receive them fairly quickly because my bridal portraits are this Sunday.

Can you give us an idea of what you like, even if it's not in the color you like.

Here's some I've found so far: (heel heights are clickable)

      3.5 inch heel.

    3 inch heel

Oooh I love that third pair! I'm looking for short heels to go with an ivory dress and I've been having a hard time too! Haven't decided if I'm going to venture into colored ones or not. What websites are you searching, Mary?

Mary---I really like the second shoe, but for some reason the front part always pinches my foot off when I try shoes like that on in stores....i love the bow on the back of the last shoe you posted, but not the way the rest of the shoe looks like.

I'm just searching from Google :)

Again, I really like the second pair, but they always tend to hurt my feet....do you think maybe I should try a wide pair and that would help with the pain?

Does it pinch around the top/sides of your feet? I think that this second pair has a little wider opening than the top second pair (does that make sense?).  A wide pair may help, and doesn't necessarily mean you have "wide" feet, just that their "wide" cut fits you better.

Wide might help then.  Have you tried wide ones in stores?
  • edited December 2011
The ones I like in the store do not usually come in wide.  Do you have any suggestions for shoe stores in NC that might would have wide formal/bridal shoes?  I am willing to go to Charlotte or Raleigh if I need to....I haven't found any in the stores around Greensboro.

It wouldn't have to be bridal shoes, just something in that style might show you what you need.

There's a DSW at Friendly Center.  And I think the Belk there usually has a good selection.

I'm trying to think of where else...hmmm.   Isn't there a specialty shoe shop somewhere up around Market st?

I went to DSW and Belk today...couldn't find any ivory shoes that I liked...they all seem to be too ivory...i guess i really just want off-white.  I also checked out Macy's and Sears while I was at Friendly...and nothing!  I guess I am just too picky!  Not sure about shoe stores on Market Street?

You could always do what Kate said and have them dyed.  Just be sure you buy a color that's lighter than what you want.

Have you tried Davids Bridal?  I remember putting on a pair of their shoes when I was trying on dresses and being surprised at how comfortable they were -- and I have wide feet also.

Hey Beth---I did try on a pair at DB and the only pair that I loved there could only stay on my feet about 20 secs because it was killing me!

There's a Wide Shoe Warehouse in Raleigh.  I can go scope it out for you, and let you know if there are any dress shoes at the store.  Just let me know!

Dawn---I wouldn't want to put you to all that trouble.  Do you know the exact name of it?  Or does it have a website?
