in October 2012 Weddings
So with 5 days left, people are starting to cancel.  I knew this was going to happen, and I know there will be no shows the day of the wedding, but I really just want to ask them for the price per person back, lol.  (I'm obviously not going to do that, but it's super frustrating).  I know life happens but I just keep thinking of all that money that could have gone to other things.  Oh well, I know I have to let this one go too...

    Yup...same thing's happening here.  Luckily, the final count doesn't go to the venue until Monday 10/8 so we haven't paid for them yet.

    It definitely sucks...but you're right, you just have to let it go

    That is so strange!  I would never cancel on a wedding unless it was an emergency.  I hope ppl stop cancelling!

    My final count is due today and the only people that are questionable is my BM & her husband because they still haven't had the baby!!!  I'm figuring that money is down the drain, because I can't imagine her flying with a 2 wk old!

    Well...to be fair, one person is in the hospital in the ICU.  I doubt he will be up and around in 10 days.  I more than understand that cancel.

    The other person is a "maybe cancel"...I hope she gets back to us before Monday (final venue count day)!  Something about her kid's football game.  I don't care if she doesn't come, but if we pay for her and she doesn't show up because of a kid's football game I'll be annoyed!

    Oh wow, this would beyond annoy me.  My cancellation today has a valid reason, but I wish she had told me earlier (I know she knew earlier), because I just gave in my final numbers yesterday so I would have been able to subtract her (and her date) from the count.
