When to buy airplane tickets to Puerto Vallarta?

My family and I will be vacationing in Puerto Vallarta at the end of April of next year. For those of you who have flown to this area before around this time, when do you think the best time to buy the tickets are? Thanks!

    Usually 3 to 4 months out is when priced tend to be lowest. That being said it really just depends on if you have your heart set on a specific flight and don't want to risk loosing it. I usually book as soon as its available but this year I'm holding out for the 3 to 4 month mark. A great site is Yapta. Find the flight you want and track it. Make sure to set up the email alerts.

    6-8 weeks is the sweet spot for low airfare. However, this is your honeymoon. I'd advise to pay the extra money buying as far ahead as you are comfortable for peace of mind.

    Very early on and again at the 6-8 week spot. Also, new fares usually come out on Tuesdays. Cheapest days to fly Tuesday & Wednesday. Avoid flying on Fridays adn Sundays as the rates usually are higher.
