Hi Ladies! I am new to this board and am in search of Asheville brides. My baby sister is getting married and has asked for my help...I loved the helpfullness of the knot while planning my own NY wedding, so I am starting here again in search of ideas and suggestions!

    I am not from ahseville but I can tell you about a wonderful photographer with great packages and reasonable prices. They are out of the Charlotte area but will travel pretty much anywhere. Chem them out!

    I was married outside Asheville in June! There are lots of options for vendors/places in the area. It was a very beautiful place to get married!

    It might be helpful to hire a local wedding planner, someone who knows the area and can recommend good venues and vendors that suit your sister's style and budget. And it may be more affordable than you think! I'm a professional wedding planner, but I am always glad to give out free recommendations for good vendors if you have a specific question.

    I am recently engaged and have already looked into a lot of options. It really just depends on price and style. I loved Castle Ladyhawke, Homewood, and the Crest Center. I also looked into some of the Bed and Breakfasts. Some were too small, some too big.

    I think I am gonna actually just rent a large house, have the wedding party stay with us, and get a tent. It's cheaper and we can do some DIY and bulk buying.

    Getting married in Hot Springs in May and am scouring the board for vendor recommendations, especially bands and deejays. :-)
