Wedding on 9/18 Tipping

I'm hoping someone can help with a tipping question. Are you supposed to tip the DJ, on top of the fee they charge you? And if so, what is appropriate?

I know gratuity is already charged in my caters fee but am unsure about DJ. Assuming florist you pay the fee only.

If the vendor owns their own business or is getting 100% of the fee, then you don't tip. If they work for a larger company or only keep a percentage of the fee, then you should tip.

We tipped our DJ and since we didn't know the original cost (since he came with a package we got from our hall) we tipped him $100 and his assistant $50.

We're tipping our DJ 20% of his fee.

Remember that tipping is optional, and for exceptional service. Double check for any service fees, or any other charge that eludes to a tip already included.
