Anyone had their (or been to a) reception at The Madison in Covington?

Just wondering if anyone has ever been to this venue or had their reception here? Any pics you would like to share? Does the biggest ballroom hold 290-300 guests comfortably. Any feedback would be great! Thanks! :)

I was there for a bridal show a couple of weeks back...I understand that they have a few buildings, but the one I was in seemed big enough for 300. My only problem: tiny dancefloor, IMO. If you have a dancing crowd, it might be a concern.

Yes!  My sisters ceremony and reception were there.  She loved it!  Her reception was in the Emerald ballroom, there were just under 200 ppl there.  You are assigned a wedding planner, who works with you thru the whole process, and then you also have a day of coordinator, who helps with all the little things on the day of.  She worked with Karen, who was great, she was a huge help during the day.  I think the largest room is the Grande Ballroom, its the one with the steps leading into it.  The dance floors might appear smaller in the rooms, but it was perfect, I dont think that is a problem in any of their rooms.  Now that I am going thru the wedding planning process myself, I can see how much value there really is in the Madison...little things that some other places make charges for , for example, chair covers, pin lighting over tables, those are things that are included in the pricing at the Madison.  I think it would be worth your time checking out, everything went great for my sister.  I would def recommend.  Good luck!

We actually just booked the Madison (Grande Ballroom) a couple weeks back. I was just wondering what everyone thought of this venue. We were really impressed with the customer service (our wedding coordinator is Angie- she is great!) and the all-inclusive packages. Plus, you can't beat the price. Some of the other places we looked at (Paul Brown Stadium, the Millenium hotel, Manor House, The Oasis) were all so expensive. With 300 people coming, we didn't want to break the bank but we also wanted a nice reception. The reviews of The Madison were very good.

However, I guess I never really thought of the dance floor being too small. What is your opinion, nalzo? Does it make a difference? Does anyone have any pictures they wouldn't mind sharing or know a photographer with photos of The Madison on their website?

The Madison is AMAZING! Their grande ballroom is PLENTY big enough for 300 people and even though the dance floor looks small it will most certainly accomodate! I have been to multiple weddings there and I am actually having my reception there!

Okay, it won't let me send you a private message. But are you booking yours in the Grande Ballroom too? Have you gone to a Wedding Connection or Veils and Cocktails yet? We went to the Wedding Connection/food tasting and got to sample the food- it is awesome!

UCBearcat! I tried to send you a PM but it wont let me either! Sorry I have been a little bit slacking on getting back on here....yes I went to Veils and Cocktails, but have not been to a food tasting yet. I have been to a couple of receptions there though, actually my fiance was in one that was there and I was in one that was there just last weekend and the food has always been amazing! How was the food tasting? I really want to go to one, but we have 18 months until the wedding so I am going to wait a little bit before I go.

Have you booked your DJ yet?
