Unveiled Bridal Event

Has anyone been to one of these events before? I've just started planning, and I'm already feeling a little overwhelmed - I'm just not sure if this would overwhelm me more or help!

I think it's more likely to help. It's A LOT smaller than the gigantic bridal extravaganza. They limit the number of vendors from each category too, so it's less likely to have a disproportionate number of photographers vs caterers, etc. And because it's a smaller show, you'll have more time to actually talk to the vendors. They also have drawings where you can enter where you can win stuff like an engagement session or wedding cake (for example). It's pretty low key, and relaxing in comparison to the extravaganza.

I went to the Unveiled event in Dallas, which is where I'll be getting married, and while it was definitely helpful, there's a few things you should know.  First, it caters to higher-end vendors, so if you have a smaller budget, it may not be that useful for finding vendors, although there were some more affordable options present in the mix.

Also, like the PP said, it's not very big, so some vendor categories may only have a few options present.  When I went, there were only 2 hair or makeup vendor booths, and I don't think I saw more than a couple DJ or transportation booths either.  There were a ton of photographers, though, and I ended up using one I saw there.

Also, they usually have free admission if you sign up in advance.

The Weddings Unveiled events in Austin are not affiliated with any in Dallas.  Liz is right...they are much smaller than the big box shows and offer brides a chance to actually converse with vendors.  There are tons of raffle items including free photo sessions and gift certificates.  Plus, at the next show, we'll be pampering brides even more with champagne upon entrance, free gifts in the reusable totes you receive and the unveiling of a Bridal Lounge where you can relax and look through participating vendors with your bridal party or fiance.
The whole purpose is to help you enjoy your wedding planning by providing you with a fun night out.
If you do decide to come, reserve a free ticket with code FREETIX.
    Hope to see you there!

I went to the one the beginning of this month with my maid of honor and fiance. All three of us had a good time. It was very helpful since we are just getting started on our search for venders. Plus none of us like crowds so this was perfect.

The selection for some of the vendor categories (cakes, dj) were practically nonexistent. I think every month they may have a different mix of vendors since they have to apply to be in the show. I am definitely going to go again since it was so helpful.
