Just Engaged and Looking for a Venue

Just got engaged 2/19/11, and am in search of a central venue between Bellingham and Tacoma. My family is from the Tacoma area and my Fiance's is from up North. Any advice on where and and how to accomodate both sides? We would like summer wedding in 2012...I'm thinking of a rustic theme or beachy theme....

CONGRATS!! How exciting for you. I would start with what you guys are thinking budget wise. And I think that trying to find a central location is wonderful and very thoughtful on your part. Seattle has great hotels and outer areas have gorgeous golf courses or parks. Just try to think about what you invision on your wedding day. Do you have an idea of what type of venue you guys want. Golf Course? Hotel? Park? Museum? GOOD LUCK!!

I wonder if Snohomish would be a good central location?

You could try Hidden Meadows......beautiful IMO
    www.visithiddenmeadows.com

    Twin Willow Gardens
    www.twinwillowgardens.com

    Swans Trail Farms
    www.swanstrailfarms.com

    orrrr lots more.

    Try this website. http://www.mysnohomishwedding.com/dgx_members_category/wedding-venues/

Snohomish has their own whole wedding guild of local vendors and they are all on that website. There are some really great vendors out that way. From tacoma, snohomish will prob be a 1.5 hour drive and maybe the same for Bellingham? I am not as familiar with Bellingham location....

Congrats and welcome!  If you are looking for a rustic/barn wedding venue, you could look at Tazer Valley Farm in Stanwood, WA.  It can handle a guest list of up to 250.

Lord Hill Farms might also fit for you.  Or the Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville.

I live in Lynnwood and I am looking at both the Edmonds and Everett yacht Club which can do 250+ and are under 3k.
