Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Venue

Does anyone know of a place close by that you can do an outdoor wedding and indoor reception at the same place? I really liked the Eagan community center but its booked on our date!

We are having our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception at Bracketts Crossing Country Club in Lakeville- we love it and Dawn there has been great to work with. The ballroom is almost brand new too!

We had ours at Carlson Towers in Minnetonka (394 and 494).  Outdoor Ceremony (was planned, but it rained all day so had it inside - they moved the tables and put the chairs up in rows), and indoor gorgeous location!

The Historic Washington County Courthouse in Stillwater.

It's a gorgeous venue, is super affordable, and you can choose all your own vendors.

Ceremonies there are generally held on the front steps of the building, which overlooks the water and downtown Stillwater.

We are having ours at Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis. They have an on-site courtyard for outdoor weddings and then an event center where they hold the reception.  (They also can move the ceremony inside to one of two locations if the weather isn't cooperating.)

We are having ours at Olympic Hills in Eden Prairie - there are 3 ceremony locations:  outside by the pond/garden, outside beneath the member deck (if it rains), or in the banquet hall where the reception is.  I love the venue, it is really beautiful and very affordable!

Crystal Lake Golf in Lakeville, MN.  Diane and Victoria are wonderful to work with.  This is where I am having my wedding!  Super affordable.  I am getting married in winter but they have a patio that overlooks the greens when it isn't snowing.  :) PM if you need/want more information.

Black Bear Crossing -- it's gorgeous. And they've got this neat outdoor space that overlooks a lake, but it's kinda covered too. As long as it's not windy and pouring, you wouldn't have to move inside.

Also, Stonebrooke golf course in Shakopee is really nice, and pretty reasonably priced compared to a lot of other places of the same quality.

Is the zoo doing weddings again now?? I called early last year when we were venue hunting and they told us they were going to be remodeling and were not booking any weddings until further notice.  I even told them my wedding was sept 2011 (I called in Jan 2010) and they still said they'd be doing construction.  But I'd check again, maybe they be having 2012 weddings?

Depending on the month, the St. Paul College Club does this, just not in the cold months.  They've got very nice grounds in the back, but it's not huge, so probably not so good for the 250+ crowds.
