NWR- Combining Policies

I dont know how many of you have done this already...but just combined my FI and I on our car insurance policy...We now pay together LESS then what he was paying on his own..not to mention we got a credit which covers our may payment....hence..more unexpected money to use toward last minute wedding stuff.

I totally advise to do this asap. I have Geico and it saved us about $100 a month.
You can do this before getting married too.

    FI and I have already combined bank accounts and have added me on to his insurance policies since we have renters through them.

    We also got money back on some of our utilities since it's been a year since we had them turned out and it covers May, June and most of July. It's on our most expensive utilities too so that will help so much!

    Yes we tried this. We shopped around, were quoted at $50 less a month for me if we combined our policies with his broker. I cancelled my insurance. Then when we go to finalize, she claims she never knew about my car accident 3 years ago (even though we told her) and that skyrocketed my insurance to $100 more a month than I pay now.
    So I had to call my company back and ask for them to NOT cancel my insurance. Needless to say we were not impressed.
