Have any weird/bad/horrible/funny wedding stories to tell from weddings you've been to?

I'm sure I'll think of others as soon as I post this, but one of the most awkward was one of my BMs wedding. It was at her H's church and the pastor went on and on about how the H was amazing and was giving up of himself and his career and his time to take on this task of having a wife. It was SO uncomfortable to listen to because he pretty much ignored any praise of my friend and everyone sitting there was like "shouldn't this at least have to do with the bride a little?!" The pastor made it seem like there was this intense burden that the H was taking on (even though my friend is pretty independent and one of the strongest, sweetest, best women I've ever met).

The kicker? When the pastor told everyone that they met exactly a year before at a wedding "that the bride didn't even want to go to," which was awful because a) it was a lie- she'd been in the middle of PA school and was just unsure if she could get the days off for it and b) our friends from the wedding that they'd met at had just traveled 4 hours for a 12 pm wedding with their one month old baby to be at this wedding.

I worked at a catering company throughtout college. We did sveral weddings where the police were called and showed up!

When my aunt (mother's sister) got married a few years ago, they had a small ceremony with immediate family only and then an informal party in their backyard for all their friends and family. It was basically a big BBQ, which was fun. My mom and dad decided that they would bring one of those huge bottles of champagne and champagne glasses for everyone so that we could all have a glass of champagne. My aunt and her husband got furious with my parents for doing this- my aunt said that my mom was trying to steal her spotlight... crazy brides.

I'd be thrilled if someone brought champagne to our wedding for everyone!

Let's see -

1. I hot august wedding indoors where the AC went out. TERRIBLE.

2. I was in a wedding where the bride was so sloshed she had to leave her own reception early (see what no eating the day of does to you)

3. Police being called because the groom and his pals were in the back getting hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

4. No one danced at a wedding with a preforming dj

5. Went to an awesome wedding with belly dancers during cocktail hour - until the grooms father started getting involved....

I guess I can't think of any really horrible experiences. We were just at one in August where the toasting got out of hand though. You had the standard father of the bride, the couple, and the 2 honor attendants. But then the best man passed it to the guy next to him and so we got 6 more speeches about how he and the groom met in college and snuck into dorm rooms wearing puffy white jackets and doing certain naughty things to girls. It was a little awkward...........

Wedding last December- Bride & groom did not talk to any guests at reception.
My cousins wedding- bride and groom were both drunk and arrested (12 years later they are still hapily married).
Wedding last year- found bride during reception, in a closet with a worker at the venue... they are no longer married.
Other than that nothing too horrible.

We went to a wedding where in order for the bride and groom to kiss you had to kiss someone else and the bride and groom were supposed to copy you. Well a few times the bride's sister and her hubby were pretty much making out and about 5 times to old men pretended to make out.

I don't know how funny this is... but I was a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding very soon after I had broken up with my girlfriend. Luckily I could make most of my crying look like tears of joy...

Nothing too major, but FI and I went to a wedding in July and they had 3 guest books. People were very confused.
