Who organizes rehearsal, if no planner

Hey ladies...Just curious as to how I am supposed to organize the rehearsal? I have no clue where to start. Is this something that the officiant will know? Is the person playing the music for the ceremony (My DJ) supposed to be at rehearsal? We have no wedding coordinator and don't plan to. Has anybody been in this situation? help! :) thanks

I would think, having a conversation with your officiant is important- so that you can determine how you as a couple want the ceremony to go.

Then, either you or the officiant will likely be the one responsible for communicating to your peoples (bridal party) what to do and when.

I'd say anyone necessary in conducting the ceremony should be there, but if your DJ is handling the ceremony music, then maybe just have a run through with him/her over the telephone prior to that day.

I am doing mine in a church, so much of it will be a combo of our premade decisions on how we want the ceremony, and conversations with the officiant over how he will conduct the ceremony.

    Hah! Sorry so long!

I'm doing a church wedding but I'm going to assume your officiant will be in charge of running the rehearsal.  if YOU are making up the order, the readings, the vows, etc, then you will need to print out some sort of guideline or script for everyone there so that it goes smoothly.  If you give the script to the DJ, he should be able to handle it but if you can have him at the rehearsal, that would probably be  so much better.
