My AW is lame today, but I am getting my hair cut and colored at 1 today. I got the CUTEST hair cut last fall, then I got engaged a few months later and decided to grow it out so I could do something with it for the wedding. My hair has gotten to the point I can't do anything with it. So, I am happy that today I will be able to get some good color back into it and a cute manageable cut.

WR: The UPS tracking notice says that my invites are out for delivery today. So when I get home from work they should be at my doorstep!

NWR: Today is my last day of work and then I get 4 days off for the holiday!!

Ally - I am so jealous and totally get your AW. My appt is next week and I'm counting down the days! How much are you cutting off? Does DH care? My hair is crazy long and I'm thinking of getting the Jennifer Aniston long bob. I have no AWs this week. Attempting my first cheesecake tomorrow - hopefully it turns out ok.

No big AWs for me. Yesterday was our 7 month anniversary though. Turns out time flies after the wedding too.

I just posted this on my month board, but I just found out my grandparents had the same exact shade of blue for their wedding that we decided on for ours. My grandma is my best friend and we are really similar, but I never thought that 50 years later we would have the same wedding color.

I've only ever seen black and white pictures from their wedding and that's one topic that we haven't ever talked about. So I had no idea.

I'm heading back to Michigan on Saturday. FI gets a little irritated when I say I'm going home, since home is here in CA with him now, so I have to break that habit. I have a ton of WR appointments next week: buying a foundation, hair/makeup trial, first fitting, finalizing the flowers, and selecting the menu. Plus, I want to pick up some decorations and accessories for the ceremony and reception (hoping to cash in on some after-christmas sales) and decide on favors and escort cards. It's gonna be a very productive "vacation"!

My brother's Christmas gift arrived at my parents today!

Originally I was going to buy him something but my order from two different websites was cancelled because it was discontinued and no longer in stock (which was annoying because BOTH times my credit card was charged/I received a confirmation email. Luckily, I was quickly refunded).

So DH is getting my brother 2 beers that he likes (Bell's Best Brown Ale and Molson XXX) but I was struggling to find something until Tuesday - I ordered from youbars.com. I assumed it wouldn't come until after Christmas so at least he would have the beer to "open". The confirmation said it would come Friday at 7pm but it arrived today at 4:30ish... yay! I'm really happy and definitely surprised.

I cut off a ton. It was past the bottom of my shoulder blades on my back and now it is above my shoulders, with longer sides and shorter back. DH used to always get nervous when I would get my hair done because I always try new colors and occassionally new cuts. Now, he trusts that I will come home looking good. Today I got a cut that I had last year, but grew it out because of the wedding, it is one of his favorite looks for me.
