Experiences with Broussards?

We are thinking of having our ceremony and reception at Broussards.  Have any of you been to a wedding or reception there?  Are any of you having your wedding or reception there?  What are your thoughts and experiences with them?

They seem to be the only venue willing to work with our tight destination wedding budget.  We won't be able to check them out until late September so I'd like any information you have!

Thanks!

    I haven't had any experience with them, but I would recommend checking out the Champagne Palace. I had my senior prom there; the gardens were GORGEOUS and the ballroom was large enough to hold 115 girls and their dates, easily. I know it had to be reasonably affordable, because our school wasn't exactly rolling in the dough. Good luck, and thanks for coming to our city!

    Someone else on this board had her wedding here (I know, only semi-helpful) - see the end of this thread:

    Also, this photographer has done several weddings at Broussard's so you can see what it looks like:

    So they seem to be pretty good overall?  Good luck! Smile

    I went to a rehearsal dinner there. They had a cocktail hour outside in the courtyard..... which was awesome and very pretty. and then we went inside to a room for dinner. The dinner had about 50 ppl and I felt it was a little crowded, but the courtyard would be a great place in the fall/winter time for a reception. FOOD WAS AWESOME TOO!

    My husband is hired by Marc Preus at Broussards all the time to play jazz at weddings there. They are always beautiful. I have tagged around several times and witnessed first hand how happy the families are with the facility.

    we shot a wedding reception there just this past weekend. It is located right on Conti (about a block off Bourbon st.) The reception was in the courtyard and it seemed to be very nice. The staff seemed very helpful and I heard good things about the food.
    As the photographer, I didn't eat anything however.

    I'll be putting photos up from this wedding in the next 24-48 hours on our blog;
