Looking for inexpensive Reception Places!

So I am getting married Oct of 2011 and my friend is getting married in Oct 2010! We are both looking for inexpensive reception places in Central NJ.
Our budgets vary from $30-$50 per person.
Any suggestions are appreciated!!

See if a restaurant can accommodate you: www.restaurantpassion.com

Also try the Barnyard and Carriage House in Totowa. They told me that they have an a la carte option where you can piece together your package.

I would also inquire about brunch and lunch receptions. Dinner receptions in New Jersey rarely run as low as $50pp, so a non-dinnertime meal will probably be cheaper.

However, your friend might have better luck booking for October 2010 since it's a short-term date. She should inquire at The Tides Estate and Bridgewater Manor for short-term deals, and it couldn't hurt to ask other halls if they offer a special deal for booking four months out.

The Rosewood in Edison, Sir John's in North Brunswick, Pierre's in South Brunswick... The Cranbury Inn in Cranbury might be able to work with you if you decide on a brunch.

Nauvoo Grill Club in Fair Haven has dinner options for $45 & will work with you -- I got it down to $50 & it included a little less food, but gave us beer & wine for 2hrs. Going to a restaurant may be your best bet.
