Madison Event Center

Hello!
I am getting married 6-1-12 at the Madison Event Center.. Does anyone have any tips or has anyone had their wedding there? I'm up for all ideas.. Not from the area, just decided to have the wedding there. I need ideas for cake places, and photographers. Thanks ladies!

Congrats! We are having our wedding there in less than a month! So, far we've been very happy with everything, so much so we also booked our rehearsal dinner there.

One piece of advice, make sure to go to the Connection Events as you get to try some of the food and meet with some vendors. I also think they have an event coming up called Veils and Cocktails that is supposed to be good.

Our photographer is Tracy Doyle and we LOVE her! www.tracydoylephotography.com/

Let me know if you have any other more specific questions about the Madison and I will try to help.

    Happy Planning!

Congratulations! Thanks for the info! We went to one of the wedding connections and found our DJ there. Are you going to use their centerpieces or have your own? There are so many things they provide and are included so I question what extra things I need. Like simple things, such as a cake cutter, stand for my guest book, etc. Is the food served buffet style or do they serve it to each person? Thanks!

We are having our wedding there in less than a month as well- August 13th! NKYSarah- which ballroom are you in? We are in the Grande Ballroom. We are working with Amy and we love their service! We feel like they really go over and beyond to make you happy with your selection in The Madison. Of course, I haven't had my wedding reception yet, but I feel like their pre-wedding services have been great. Stay tuned.

I would recommend our photographer- Chad Moon (www.chadmoon.com). He did an AMAZING job on our engagement photos and his prices are reasonable. He also gives you the rights to your photos- which is a bonus.

I would also recommend our cake person- Amy Gilmore (www.cakertainment.com). She makes cakes on the side and her prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and service.

    Good luck!!!

I'm getting married at The Madison in October, and so far they've been great to work with.  I'm sure you'll love them.

I second Tracy Doyle, we're using her and loved our engagement photos!

@brittbrown89-- we decided to do our own centerpieces, just because I had something else in mind. I did see on my last trip there that they had a new centerpiece with I believe a branch that was really pretty. But we'd already booked a florist. If you are in need of a florist I would highly recommend Leaf & Petal in Covington, KY. She does a wonderful job and has great prices!

As for the other items you'd need, they do really offer a lot with their services and staffing. And we are doing a buffett dinner, but they have options for seated dinner as well. Just depends on what you want, and your budget. I know they have some great pricing for Jan-March too, but that was just too quick for us to pull the wedding together.

@UCBearcat83 -- We are at the Madison South with the ceremony in the loft and the recpetion in the Galleria room. We are only having 80 guests so it was a great size/space for us. And we've been working with Amy the last few months as well, after our orignal planner left. Not too much longer for both of us!!! Good luck with all the final details!

We used the Madison for our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, & reception. They were wonderful. They take care of everything, and it really helps make the evening stress-free! They assign a day-of coordinator for you and ours was wonderful. She never let me be w/o a drink in hand and was always there to get anything I needed all evening. Everything that evening went by so quickly but they were great at keeping things moving and having dinner, cake cutting, etc all happen "on schedule". Smile

I'll echo what some others have said about the wedding connection. We went 3 times and each time they had different food to try so that was really great. I really can't say enough good things about them and I am sure you won't be disappointed either!

For the girls who are getting married at the Madison.. Are you having your ceremony in the loft, the chapel, or in the ballroom where your reception will be?
