price on DJs...

Hi all,

I'm getting a quote for around $1500 from a DJ, which I feel is pretty reasonable, but just wanted to know what everyone else out there is getting quoted at to compare?

that price includes DJ and assistant for four hour reception, lighting and a projector screen for a photo montage we are going to show.

We paid $1200. (actually less because we got a discount.) But our DJ's normal price is $1200. And had we had the photo montage, it would have been an additional $200.

When we were looking anything between $1200 and $1500 was completely appropriate and reasonable. Yes we saw DJ's offering starting packages for $995 and some who wanted $2995 for their basic package.

So, as I have mentioned many times on here $1200 - 1500 is a great price! Sometimes, depending on what you are getting $2000 can also be as good deal.

Since your DJ is saying $1500 and that includes the montage, I'd say that's a great deal!

    I found a DJ online http://www.jandtdjentertainment.com/events.html

He quoted me for 6 hours, less than $1000.00. I am still pricing around, but has anyone used them? He is the least expensive so far. Everyone else tells me $1500+.
