  I would highly recommend Sivan Photography! They were absolutely AMAZING (and I have the photos to prove it!!). Her and her husband are as sweet as can be and so creative! It is so important to have two photographers too, (Sivan was with us and Craig was with my husband and the boys) and they did not miss a thing! They are exactly in your price range too. The main thing that I love about them is that they can be life long photographers. I've used them for an engagement shoot, Bridesmaids shoot and of course the wedding itself; and I will definitely come back to them for future photos as well (Rock the Dress, Maternity). Sivan is so passionate about what she does and it shows! Highly recommended!!! Take a look at my photos. I really think you will be very impressed!

  If you want a true photojournalist, they will be expensive, but you can find them at www.WPJA.com website, they list all of them from all the states and they list starting prices, I'm sure you can find someone within your budget. We too wanted more of a documentary style photographer, we used Marina with In true colors photography (www.intruecolors.com). We had 2 of them, and they were pretty much invisible the whole time and got some amazing photos.

  Thank you everyone so much for all of the suggestions!! I have a lot of research and e-mailing to do now It's nice to hear that there are photographers in our area that don't cost an arm and a leg and the rights to your first born child.

  DO NOT book Leigh Taylor under any circumstances!  There was sooo much drama involving her a few years back.  I'm surprised she's still in business.  Here's a sample thread:

  Basically, a bunch of girls didn't get their wedding photos for a long long time and she didn't respond to their emails and was rude. Then she didn't show up to one girl's wedding because her foot hurt and she sent another not as good photographer who took crappy pictures.  Then she refused to compensate for said crappy pics.  She is overpriced and not worth it.  

  
  

  I recommend my wedding photographer, Derek, with Sunshine Photographics.  He was excellent in every way and a pleasure to work with.
