Anyone going to Pre-Cana at St Anne's this weekend?

Fi and I will be going this weekend. If you have been there before what should we expect? If you are going to be there I would love to know!

    Hey!

This response isn't related to your post, but I noticed your invitation (I almost ordered some similar, but my cousin ended up designing mine for me).  We're going with a (slight) "lovebird" theme, and I found these super cute cake toppers that remind me of the birds on your invitation.  Just thought I'd show you in case you're interested.  :)

We did our Pre-Cana here in NC where we live.  It was just a day-long thing, but it was actually really good, and full of great info.  :)  GL!

We're not doing Pre-Cana.  The Archdiocese of Cincinnati gives a choice of which combination of marriage preparation you prefer.  But sometimes your home parish can make you do more (but no less).  If you don't like that, you can talk to the priest or go to another parish.  We were lucky our parish was flexible.

We chose to do "God's Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage" at Ruah Woods, a sympto-thermal NFP (natural family planning) course offered by the Couples to Couples League, and our parish's program with the 6 meetings with our sponsor couple.  I strongly recommend the program at Ruah Woods, btw, it was amazing!  The NFP course was also an eye-opener.

I've never heard a bad thing about Pre-Cana in Cincinnati, at least the one hosted at Raymond Walters College.  Everyone gets something out of it even if you've been together for 10+ years.  No one is judgemental.  It's all about equiping you with success and a happy marriage.  Just go with an open mind and enjoy it with your FI.

Come to the Catholic board.  Many of the ladies there took pre-cana at other dioceses for you to compare.
