Wedding Photographer??

Does anyone have suggestions for a wedding photographer? We are hoping to keep the cost to under $1500.  We are getting married in Old Town Alexandria in July 2011.

    Yay! We're getting married next May just outside of Old Town. Congrats :)

    We met with a photographer, Hino Banzon, this past Friday, who we're probably going to sign with. His website is www.hinofoto.com and he is highly reviewed on weddingwire.com. He's got a slightly bashful personality (well, I call it bashful, the FI calls it a little weird, lol), but his pictures are FANTASTIC. His style is photojournalistic and for the cost, I've seen photographers who take similar pictures to him charge almost double. He also actually gives you ALL rights to the pictures - so you can do whatever you want with the DVD. I also like that he doesn't try to upsell you on albums or anything. With the DVD, he says he can point you in the direction of different album designers and companies where you can create your own album but he doesn't charge you an arm and a leg to go through him.

    He does offer a package that starts at about $1100, based on the rate sheet he sent me. I HIGHLY recommend that you check out his site and contact him. Even if we do not end up signing with him in the end, he is one of the few photographers out there who shoots beautiful photojournalistic shots with incredibly low rates.

    Check out Eden's Cove Photography...We used Sarah for our wedding (almost a year ago)...she was great, personal, easy to work with etc.  Prices are very resonable.  Good luck!

    Thank you so much!! I have been overwhelmed looking at all the options in this area and I don't want to spend 6k for nice photos.  I will check both out and any more suggestions are welcome. :)

    I got married May 1, my photographer was awesome and it was in that price range.  She's great - I'd use her again and will use her for any other future needs.

    We will be using Happy Heart Photography and can not say enough good things about how great Ashley has been so far! She has several options for a bride on a budget - our package came to just over $3k but that includes a 2nd photog, engagement session and album, a wedding album, digital negatives and rights.  So not a bad deal!

    I'm a photographer and would love to shoot your wedding for $1500.  And that includes a second shooter, which I don't think you'll find anywhere else for that price.  Some of my work is online at www.mattallencreative.com, and my co-workers stuff is at http://charlotte-leigh.smugmug.com/.  I can give you a reference as well - I just shot the ABC weatherman's son's wedding recently.  Get in touch!

    Check out Linda Wang Photography: www.lindawangphotography.com and http://lindawangphotography.wordpress.com. She has an amazing eye for candids and details. Her rates are incredible at $1800 for the full day.
