MB Brides... after your ceremony, where did your guests go when u guys were taking pictures?

did they immediately go to the reception? im so confused. I know 15 min is the ceremony and after the ceremony  pictures are taken by the photographer....How did u plan that extra time between ceremony and the reception?

In-suite brides what did u do?

Our guest were waiting for us to exit in the Lobby....But we really did not take to many pic's with the MB photographer. Then we sent everyone up to the Vista Suite get started while we took a few pic's around MB.

we took pix w/ the mb photographer (cashman) in the wedding chapel waiting area for 15 min (after the ceremony), my guests stayed in the same waiting area and we took pictures together afterwards.  While we took the pix, my guests were taking pix of themselves in the waiting area.

They headed up to the Vista suite to have drinks and to start eating. I had my dad give cards w/ the room number on them in case guests got lost

That seems like an unusually long break; it is Vegas but I'd try to make it either much shorter or a few hours longer so guests actually can find something to do or won't have to wait around doing nothing.  I know it's Vegas, but if I go put a suit on to attend a wedding and I've got 2.5 hours before the reception, there aren't exactly a lot of options that I'd want to do, I mean it's not like that's enough time to run back to my room, change to normal clothes, go see a show, come back, change back, get to the reception, nor would I want to go walking around in 100 degree weather or gamble wearing nice clothes so I show up to the reception smelling like cigarette smoke.

We are doing our photo tour with Todd before the ceremony so that we can spend the time together with our guests right after finishing the cashman pics after the ceremony.

    (at least, that's the plan)

We rented a party bus limo for everyone to hang out in while we do our 2hr strip tour.  It comes with water, ice and champagne, but we will stock it with beer and booze too.  This way they will have a ride to and from chapel and to dinner with free drinks before dinner.  I guess it's kind of our cocktail hour.  lol  We will all just catch a cab after dinner and go to a club:)

It is a long break, but I'm not too worried about it.  It's November, so there is no 100 degree heat people have to worry about if they choose to walk around.

We did all our photos pre-ceremony.  We had enough room on the bus for all of our guests to come along, but pretty much only the WP and a few of their spouses did.  Our ceremony was in the suite, so the reception just began immediately afterward.

Wena, if I were you I'd figure out something for your guests to do or try to close the gap.  Even in Vegas, it kind of sucks wandering around in your dress clothes just killing time.  I know from experience, there were a couple of times on our honeymoon we got somewhere too early and had to wait; it's one thing to set off to be touristy, but when you're just trying to keep yourself entertained while waiting for what you really want to be doing, it's pretty dull.  People may very well just skip the ceremony and meet you at the reception.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

We are having a 3 hour break, and our guests are just going to gamble in the hotel casino, or go to their rooms or whatever they want, and go to the restaurant at our set time. I'm not worried about losing anyone, and they're not worried about it either, they're just going to have some fun and meet back up with us :)
Where are you getting married and having your reception?
