Ring question: Logistics of an enhancer ring

My wedding ring is one of those enhancer rings like the one below.

I know it really doesn't matter, but to anyone who had a similar style ring - how did your groom put your wedding band on your finger?  Did he just put the enhancer ring on and then you took it off to put your engagemeng ring inside of it later?  Or did he put the engagement ring inside of the wedding ring before he put it on your finger?

    My friend put them together with her engagement ring and the groom put the whole thing on at once.

    I strongly suggest soldering them together prior to the wedding. At the wedding you go without your ring on and when it comes time to place the band on your finger, he slides the entire thing onto your hand.

    I'd personally just have him put the wedding band on and then fix it afterwards. Nobody is going to know the difference.

    I assume it goes bottom>e-ring>top, so what I'd probably do is just have him put the bottom one on during the ceremony and then i'd put on e-ring and top enhancer ring later. I'd be wearing e-ring on right hand prior. and maybe he can give you the other ring later (later in the wedding or even after the wedding?). or just put both on at once? lots of different ways i suppose. whatever you end up doing will be fine tho :)
