can we talk alterations?

Who are you using/did you use?
What city are they in?
What all did you get done/or planning to get done?
How much did/will it cost?
If you've already worked with someone, would you recommend them?

Who are you using/did you use? I used Olga, as she came very highly recommended from the board.

    What city are they in?
At that point, she was in Cary, but I believe she's moved up to North Raleigh? I could be wrong though.

What all did you get done/or planning to get done?
I had the length taken in a bit (I ordered my dress a little too long) and a bustle was also added.

    How much did/will it cost?
It was about 250-300 (LOTS of bustle points & Heavy material)

If you've already worked with someone, would you recommend them?
    Yes, a million times over!

Dito Beka.   Her place in Cary was so close to me it would have been silly not to use her.

Mine cost a little less because I only had a 7 pt bustle, but I had a LOT of dress fabric to be taken in (like 2 yards more than she said was typical) because my dress was pleated and I had a train, so it evened out some.

Who are you using/did you use? Elizabeth's Alterations
What city are they in? Greensboro
What all did you get done/or planning to get done? had the sides taken in a lot; had an elastic strap added to the inside o the dress to help it stay up (strapless dress); had eyehooks added to the back so the zipper wouldn't show; had it hemmed; had a 24 point French bustle done; had it steamed (she did my veil too)
How much did/will it cost? About $350
If you've already worked with someone, would you recommend them? Yes.

I used B B's alterations in Greensboro, NC.  Had to be let out, shortened, and bustled.  It cost $250.  I would highly recommend, she did a great job!
