Get to Know You - Picture Edition - Take 2

Ok, so I already posted this, and now I am going to do it again due to an apparent 'unexpected error' on the original post.

The goal is to get to know each other by posting photos from 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and Now that show a bit about who you were at that stage in your life.

I will start (again)

10 years ago I was in highschool and totally into the goth style from black cateye eyeliner to dog collars and everything in between. I am the second person from the left.

5 years ago - I was in the military, Canadian Army to be exact. I am in the middle row, on the far left.

Now - I own my own business with FI and attend business conferences with my team across Canada and the US. This is one we attended in St Louis. I am the third person from the left.

Well that sucks eh?

Ok so this was 10 years ago... my party days. And oh boy did I party! I am definitely the cause of my parents' gray hairs :P

5 years ago I was still a new mom, learning the ropes and trying to keep my head above water. It was a really rough time for me and it was hard to see much light ahead. I would have done anything to give my son a good life. I met FI about year after this photo was taken.

Now... I see the light!! Life is good. Yes, there is a lot of crap I deal with but I am so incredibly blessed in so many ways. My son was the best thing to ever happen to me; he put life into perspective and gave me the courage to fight more what I wanted. FI only added to that and my confidence keeps growing with every hurdle I conquer. The future for all of us is looking bright

10 years ago....

I was a mom with four kids working as a nurse with two jobs trying to maintain. I am with my third child at my oldest son football game...

5 years ago...

Still working two jobs and maintianing. Enjoying my kids at Kings Dominion. I love some Dora and Diego.....

Now..

I am working as a logistic planner (my dream job). Kids are growing 20 (college), 16, 13, 12. Met and marrying my soul mate. Living and beating cancer. I took this picture today. Oh What a Good Life...

10 years ago I was in high school. I was on the schools Dance Team Im very center on red kinda standing sideways. I was kinda a geek but had a good core of friends who I am still friends with today, one of which is bottom left squatting

5 years ago - I was in nursing school.. that sucked, but being a nurse now is so worth it!

Now- this is me, my FI and my MOH. About to a 5k mudrun... i dunnno why i put myself through things like that, it was CRAZY

jezpez have you heard of the Tough Mudder? I am so excited because I have a team of like 20 running it with me in 2013 (wanted to this year but its like a month before the wedding and not taking the chance of injuring myself hahaha)

So I don't have any that are exactly 10 years ago, but these are sort of close...

This is my dad and I when I was in a pagent. I didn't win but probably because I was a tomboy that they stuck in a dress. lol =/ I went through SUCH and awkward stage.

This is my dad, my mom (hiding), and I when we went to the mountains for a vacation. I was in, like, 2006 (I think) so not quite 10 years, but you can kind of see me...

(No, I didn't run track. lol That was a hand me down from a cousin that I loved for some reason...)

Okay... 5 years ago. This was my friend Maddy and I at senior prom. (I'm the girl on the right.)

This is a few months earlier with Dan. This was posted here as our first picture ever. Note my labret piercing in both pictures. I really, really miss it. =(

And recently... Here's one of my fav e-pics. I just wish I would've remembered to reapply my lipstick!

Here is me not quite 10 years ago. My friends and I spent two hours trapped in an elevator and got bored so we started documenting our "adventure." I am on the far left and my MOH is right next to me (and her little sister is on the far right).

Here is me about 7 years ago, going to my senior prom. I had just lost 30 pounds in this picture. I had been diagnosed/treated for Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which caused me to gain all the weight.

This is me 5 years ago. I was studying abroad in Beijing, China. This was taken in January on The Great Wall.

This is me now. This is one of my favorite engagement pictures with FI!

10 years ago-this picture is actually only 9 years ago. 10 years ago i graduated 8th grade/started freshman year of HS. this was from march of freshman year, when we went to state for cheerleading. i'm on the far left, my MOH is next to me, and another one of my bridesmaids is next to her. yeah i was a cheerleader for 8 years of my life (5th-senior year)

8 years ago- first picture of me and Dan (i was 15, he was 16)

5 years ago-Dan and I had first started dating - this picture is from when we went out to dinner for a friends birthday downtown and then decided to go to the beach (at night) in order goes: Dan's best man, two good friends, another of my bridesmaids, me, Dan, my MOH.

now- this is us sitting infront of our house last summer about a month after we closed. we had been engaged for about a month and a week at this point.

10 Years Ago - well, I think this is 11 years ago actually. This is me at my freshman dance. I was completely frazzled and burnt from being out in the sun all day.

5 Years Ago - this was January of 2007. I had short hair & bangs.

Now - me and 2 of my coworkers at a bar, taken the end of January.

Ten years ago I was living in DC, the picture is actually about 8 years ago (didn't have a digital camera 10 years ago) This is me drunk at a bar which was a pretty common occurance

five years ago I moved back home to Minnesota after living in DC and Boston for several years. My MOH and I loaded up the truck and drove from Boston to Minneapolis, with a stop at Niagra Falls along the way.

Now FI and I have been together for about 4 years, I'm a home owner, have a dog and I also have become a biker chick since FI took me on my first motorcycle ride the night we met.

This was a little over 10 years ago ... More like 15 but I could not find a 10 year picture ... This is with my sister (MOH) and one of my bridesmaids. I am the one all the way to the left, my sister is in the bikini top, and bridesmaid with the dark hair.

This is about 5 years ago. FI and I having a boiled lobster with his parents I was about 17 and he was around 21.

This one is now. This was takn in October at my brothers wedding.

ok this was pretty fun, I hve very limited pictured with out scanning stuff in so here's what I cam up with from facebook and on my computer:

10 years ago, I lived in Philly and was in Pharmacy school.

this picture was from a trip to Buffalo (bars open until 4 am rather than the 1 am at home) for a friends 21st:

(why does it look like I have a super wierd neck tan line?)

5 years ago I was living in Ithaca working for a property management company that ran shopping malls, I did specialty leasing and marketing and events like fashions shows and coordinating santa pictures etc... I also ran the customer service department for a coupe malls, it was a crazy stressfull job-but I had great hair!

If we went like 7 years ago- I hadn't quite gotten my shiz together after dropping out of Pharmacy school and was partying pretty hard. But I had amazign friends at the restaruant where I worked and an awesome house in the woods were we all partied. Amazingly enough I was able to party and pay off a ton of credit cards and debt I collected while in school.

Now: I am back in hometown, though not neccessarily happy about it. Thank god we bought a duplex, we've been talking more and more about movign after the wedding especailly depending on FIs job situation at that point.

OK 10 years ago I was 16. Pic is of me and my best friend (still!) Monica before some high school dance. (I'm on the right) I was a quiet girl who loved punky guys with tattoos.

5 years ago I was at K-State, freshly drinking age... I was friends with Ted and started dating him later in the year. This pic is of me and a girl that everyone kept mistaking us for eachother. Then they swore we were sisters. I'm on the right. I loved to go out at the bar district in Manhattan, but stopped liking the tattooed boys and moved on to the always immature and drunk frat boys. (not my smartest moment)

Now... I have a little more weight on me but still happy! Me and Ted at Boulevard Brewery, a little drunk in this one! We'd been dating for almost 5 years. Now I don't go out very much and would rather cuddle on the couch with my Kindle. Definitely now a home-boddy!
