Inexpensive venues

hi, i am in the process of planning my wedding for late march 2013 and am having big trouble finding a nice inexpensive location where i could have both the wedding and reception. I am looking at a guest list of about 50-75 ppl and not trying to spend more than $5,000 anything less than that will be great. I live in the metro-atlanta area so i'm looking for places in that area. I'm also not against traveling and doing a destination wedding if anyone has affordable recommendations for that. Please help open to all suggestions.

Re: Inexpensive venues

  • I'm not sure if you are familiar with Clayton County near the Nascar Motor Speedway Track. I booked my wedding at the Clayton County Community Use Building it was only $700 dollars + a $400 dollar deposit. You get the venue from 8am to llpm and you have the ceremony inside or outside. No restrictions on caters or liquor. You are responsible for your own setup and cleanup. The building has three floors, which includes a dressing room, main floor, and basement area. I thought it was a good deal!!!!

    Check it out!!!

  • Crooked Pine Farms in Eatonton!!
  • Roswell River Landing, we almost went with there. Great pricing, we have all our vendors, and found a place near us to marry. This place is great. We catered here once too! Very nice grounds in my opinion, especially for a smaller wedding (under 100).
  • Vecoma at the Yellow River is very inexpensive. They have several packages for under $5,000.

  • We are ahving our reception at the Garden Hills Rec Center in Buckhead.  You wouldn't even know you were in the city!  Has a kitchen and restrooms, bring in your own food and booze, includes tables and chairs.  Lovely inside, big giant room with large rock fireplace and exposed beams, outside deck.  We have the place from 4-11 and the rental is under $500.  Sunnybrook Park is across the street, too, if you want to have the ceremony outside like we are.  A great inexpensive gem in Buchkead.  Off Wesley, about halfway between Piedmont and Peachtree.  http://gardenhillspool.com/ Great inexpensive spot if you are a DIYer.
  • Crooked Pines Farm in Eatonton Georgia offers a wedding package of $2,000 for events booked before the end of the year. So you can still book your wedding before the end of the year and have it in March. Their package includes accomodations for up to 150 people, linens, use of the barn from 9am-midnight, use of the bridal parlor, and an event coordinator. They are incredibly gorgeous. I would check them out if you are looking  to stay within budget.
  • There are some great venues in Paulding County that do both the ceremony and reception on site. They all do their own catering, and The Ragsdale Inn does wedding and groom's cakes.

www.bullockspringsmanor.com - Bullock Springs has a great catering deal going on right now.
