Powel Crosley Estate

hello!

So I am considering the Powel Crosley Estate.  I was wondering if anyone had any price ranges, including rentals, catering, and alcohol for approximately 115 people.
I'm assuming I would have to rent everything-tables, chairs, linens, tent.....

Thanks so much!

I've heard they are pricey, but it's an amazing venue! Good luck!

I emailed a lady there last week and she said they would rent out to us for a Sunday, it would be $3,900 to rent the whole house. Alittle too pricey for me! but they have a website you can go to: http://crosleymuseum.com/pages/rentals.html

I wanted to look at Crosley, thank you for the price post. So you're saying it's going to be a different price on Saturday wedding? What do they include in this price, just rent?
    Thank you!

    Hi there!

My fiance and I are having our wedding there on Sept. 23 this year.  It is a bit pricey but you wont need to spend much on decorations because the venue has so much character.  Here are some things you might need to know:

Fridays and Sundays are cheaper than Saturdays, by a lot!  I think it was one grand cheaper for us to do ours on a Friday.  For the entire mansion, and the yard it is 3,900.  For the mansion and the patio only, it is 3400 or 3500, i cant remember exactly.  We are having around 100 guests so we are doing the ceremony out on the patio, dinner will be served inside, and then the rest of the reception will be held primarily on the patio.  We are going through Milan catering and sarasota wedding gallery for EVERYTHING!  They will handle everything, even the moving of chairs and clean up and pick up and really are pretty good price wise, and you dont have to worry about stuff because they will give you like a mini wedding planner to order all of your linens, chairs etc.  Oh, the crosley provids tables :)  The catering company provides the dishes as well.  ( go to sarasota wedding gallery on facebook and they have a ton of pictures of weddings at the crosley).  The main thing that sucks about the crosley is that you cant bring in your own alcohol and they dont have a real "open bar".  It seems as if it is an open bar to your guests but at the end of the night you will end up paying $4 or $5 per beer, $20 per bottle of wine opened, and $21 per bottle of champagne opened.  Because of this we are cutting off the bar while dinner is served and also an hour before the reception ends.  At this point we will be doing an A&W Rootbeer Float bar.  (A&W for Ashley and Will)

Like I said, we dont really see the need for a ton of decoration.  We are going to use some ivy for the balcony and the stairwell outside (which I will walk down for the ceremony) and also inside above the windows.  For flowers, we are going to just do a simple potted orchid on each table as our main centerpiece with candles all round.  We are doing sort of a vintage style wedding and will also have vintag-y picture frames on the mantle of each of our parents and grandparents wedding pictures with a large engagement picture of my fiance and I hanging over it.  We will be having around 100 people and it will be a bit crammed in the main room inside the crosley but we feel that it would be better than renting the lawn and eating out on the lawn.  Plus, im paying for the mansion so i want to use it!!!

My fiance and I decided that since it was such an amazing venue we could skimp on other areas to be able to afford it.  Also, if you are looking for a photographer, check out Basiamillephotography.com.  David is amazing and he has done numerous weddings there.

    hope this helps

My fiance and I are also considering Crosley for our September 2012 wedding -- our only concern is the heat that time of year. Any suggestions about putting up tents and pumping in air condition? I really do not want people to be sweating while on the dance floor!
