Engagement pictures help! photoshop question

Hey ladies,

Our engagement session is scheduled for tomorrow, and somehow I just now realized that all of my huge, discolored bruises on my legs will NOT be gone by then. (I wasn't beaten up, fiance and I went canoeing last weekend and it was just a fiasco. We flipped six times, ugh.) I have a cute dress picked out, but some bruises won't be covered. Is it reasonable to expect our photographer to photoshop them out?

Alternatively, does anyone have any recommendations on how to cover bruises up? I do not want to wear jeans or pants, it is 100 degrees out.

TIA!

I have a somewhat hilarious story that will make you feel more at ease.

It's the day of my engagement sess, and I am wearing this adorable lace dress I love. The photographer is a dream and we are shooting in our apartment. The photographer suggests I go find my cat, Winston, to be in a shot with me. He gets freked out by the camera shutter, and in an effort to save my dress from his claws I hold him out from my chest as he squirms away! But he caught my face with his back claws! I had a huge scratch on my cheek and a bleeding one under my eye!  I was SO embarrassed.
The photographer made sure I was ok and assured me that any shots we took from there would be photoshopped to perfection.
    They were.
As long as your photographer is confident in their ability to photoshop out your bruises, wear the dress you love! You could always start by putting on concealer, but let your photographer know about your bruises so they can shop them out.

I would not just assume that they will automatically remove them. Make sure you mention the bruises during the session and ask if they are able to remove them and if it is included with your session. Some might charge extra some might not, it just depends on the photographer.

It's not out of the question to have a photographer Photoshop things. In most cases, basic retouching which includes blemish removal, is included in your session. If not, ask them. I also do extra Photoshop work for free for my clients if they just ask. It never hurts!
