Menus

Are they needed for a buffet? I'm just trying to figure out if I waste the time and/or money on these? Don't want to worry about something else if they're not needed! TIA

Re: Menus

  • I don't think you need one for a buffet
  • I will not be making menus for my food, it's all pretty self-identifiable, lol... (we're having BBQ foods)
But I was thinking of putting little labels in front of the buffet stations, just in case anyone can't figure it out.
  • Nope not needed. Maybe cards with what each dish is so that people with food allergies or something can know what they are eating?

I'd assume the venue would do that but I'm not sure.

Not needed, but if you wanted to do labels in front of each dish, or just have one framed menu at each table that would be easier and have the same effect.

  • We're having a plated dinner, but we're not doing any type of menu.  I don't think they're necessary for either type- plated or buffet.

Just like PPs said - I am not having a menu for my buffet but plan to label the food on the table.

  • I don't think you need to give everyone a menu, but labels for each dish and maybe a menu at the beginning of the line so people know what the options are would be nice.
