Kohl's registery... thoughts?

I am thinking about where we should register, and my fiance and i like some of the stuff at Kohl's... but i have heard that their things are not well made. Like they are cheap and maybe break easily. Has anyone had this issue?
What do you think of Kohl's registery?

I don't know about them being cheap - my issue with Kohl's is that their registry is slow to update, so you risk getting a lot of duplicates before a shower if many people shop the day before or day of. We thought about registering there but decided against it. Much of what they sell is what you'll find in other department stores, and the stuff that is "kohl's exclusive" tends to be pretty neutral/standard-issue. I wouldn't avoid them for quality reasons, however.

Ditto hoffse. FI and I didn't register there just because of the bad things we had heard about their registry system. For the shower my coworkers held at work, they actually looked at my other registries (BBB & Macy's) and found the same things at Kohl's and they were able to get me a lot more because of sale prices/coupons. After the work shower, I went on to BBB & Macy's and deleted the items they got me to avoid duplicates. So, I wouldn't avoid Kohl's for quality issues since they carry a majority of the same things.

Edited to clarify that I didn't throw my own work shower.

Really? I never heard of the quality at Kohls being subpar. I’ve purchased several types of items there & never had any issues. We did a registry there & got a few things. Never had any problems.

I've never had issues with their products being of a low quality. I actually love shopping there and go a lot.

I made a registry at Kohl's, and received some duplicates of some items at my bridal shower because their registry didn't update properly when people bought me gifts. They were really easy to return with gift receipts, but it was still a hassle having to do so.

I love Kohl's towels and bedding and was considering registering there for that. Kohl's isn't bad on returns so I can just return the dupes if that's where the problem lies.

I don't know anything about their registry, but I love to shop at Kohls. I have never experienced low quality or bad merchandise. Returns are super easy too.

I like Kohl's and we intend on registering there

In my area, Kohl's is like Walmart and KMart and BigLots - just some huge discount store that sells some of its own merchandise and sells stuff that other stores couldn't sell. You have to take your merchandise to the front of the store and stand in line to check out, like at the grocery store or KMart or Target. I don't know anyone who would do a wedding registry at Kohl's.

Here, the wedding registries would be at high end, classy stores with carpet and interior design, where you check out at a station in the department where you chose the items, like Macy's and Dillards. And those stores have a special section all set up for bridal/wedding/registry shopping, with special staff members who are familiar with registry shopping.

We registered at Kohls and I actually was about to post about them. One of the reasons we chose Kohls was because of their reward program-10% of all gifts back up to $200 dollars sounded like a fantastic way to round out a lot of the missing registry items (or in my case I really want a Dyson vacuum cleaner). We got married almost 5 months ago and I still do not have my certificate. I have called twice and both times they said it was being emailed make sure you check you spam. Guess what, still no certificate. I don't know if other brides have had this issue, but this is incredibly frustrating to me. I think that the products from Kohls are great, but if you promise a bride something follow through.

P.S. Sorry if this comes off as a rant.

I was going to say the same thing. Only peasants have to bring their purchases all the way to the front of a store to check out. Seriously what are you even talking about?

Also, what does carpet have to do with anything? Every kohls I've been in and has carpet... I guess cb,ws, and pottery barn are all low end because they aren't carpeted.
