Save the dates

Is it to late to send the save the dates. Or is it even worth it. It took us until this January to get engagement pictures and spent $106.00 for what?

Since your wedding isn't until the end of August I'd think you could send them if you can get them out within the next week. If you haven't ordered/made them yet then I'd just skip it.

I just sent out the remaining few on my list and don't think it would be too late. They are also nice because some people will let you know ahead of time that they will not be able to attend instead of having to wait until you mail the invitations.

I would say if you can get them out in the next week or two, it isn't too late. If you haven't ordered them yet, though, it might end up being too late. We didn't do save the dates, and they certainly aren't a necessity, so I wouldn't worry about this. Use engagement photos on your actual invites, or frame them and use them to decorate the guest book, program, or name card table.

i sent mine on Feb 9-10th so people would recieve them on the 11th (exactley 6 months) and the 13th of Feb. i recieved my friend's save the date for June 2nd, so its def not too late girl!

We also waited ntil January to get our pictures taken and our Save the Dates are going out in the mail tomorrow (8/4 wedding). I think you should be okay to send them.

I don't think the six month guideline is a hard and fast rule. Most of our guests are within a reasonable driving/flying distance so I haven't sent mine out yet. I think if people receive them less than six months out they will still appreciate the opportunity to make arrangements before receiving your invitation. You just wouldn't want the save the date and invitation to go out one right after the other.

I think you're fine to still do one if you want to!

I'm still working on getting mine out (8/18 wedding) so don't worry about being late!!

The guest book is a good idea. I did think of maybe doing wallets for the thank you cards.
