So we go for our menu selection this week (yay!). 

We are allowed 2 options, fish, steak or chicken plus a vegetarian dish.  We definitely love salmon, so that's a no brainer for us.  But we're torn between choosing the steak (Prime Rib) or Chicken (Florentine or Bruschetta). 

What is your preference when attending a wedding, would you prefer Steak or Chicken?

    Chicken- I feel like I'm a beef snob and I never like it at weddings.  I think a meat and fish is perfect.

    Probably chicken, but out of the three I would do chicken and and beef instead. I don't think as many people will like fish, and salmon in particular is very fishy in my opinion.

    I'm gonna go against the grain and say steak as my personal preference... though if you are absolutely set on doing fish as one of the choices, based on that, I would go with chicken... steak is so heavy and fish is so light that I think there's too much of a contrast between the two choices... I think chicken would work better and is probably a better "universal" choice.

    I do agree with PPs though that a lot of people don't like fish... and salmon is very specific (our fish option [we have a beef, a chicken, and a fish] is going to be a white fish.. probably scrod)... so just keep that in mind. I'm giving up some of my very specific food preferences for choices that are more appealing to the masses...

    I am soo jealous, ours isn't until February!

    I would say fish and chicken, my family would eat the chicken and FI' family would love the fish.

    Thanks ladies!  Both of our families are fish eaters, so for us it is definitely a good option.  I think we're leaning towards Chicken and Fish. 

    I can't wait for the cake tasting :)  I am obsessed with wedding cake lol!
