Bridesmaids gifts...HELP!

OK, ladies...I have got to get this done, and I'm at my wit's end trying to decide what to get for my girls. I have six bridesmaids, and they don't have much in common except for me. I've gone back and forth on whether I should try to get them all the same thing or something different for each girl. The problem with getting them each something different is that I'm not the most creative gift giver in the world, so it's been really hard to figure out what might be good for some of them.

The idea I keep coming back to is to get picture frames from Things Remembered and have each one engraved with a different quote that pertains to our friendship. Like a line from our favorite movie on the one for my best friend, or a lyric from a camp song for the girl I worked at summer camp with, etc. Nothing corny, and certainly nothing bridesmaidrelated Then I'd put a picture of us together in each one. Does this seem like a good idea, or is it too cheesy? Any other suggestions would be welcome!

Re: Bridesmaids gifts...HELP!

  • I got each girl robes (http://www.etsy.com/listing/103591193/bridesmaids-robes-set-of-5-kimono) and then two of my bridesmaids I bought freshwater pearl bracelets from Macys (I got an awesome deal- they're originally $60 each but got them for $15 each.) For my sister and maid of honor I'm doing something a bit more $, probably another piece of jewelry that best fits their style. (Note that none of the jewelry is for them to wear on the wedding day.)

And lastly, I'm throwing them a thank you Bridal Party Brunch at my house.

I think the picture frame idea is nice, I would just maybe shop around a bit. Things Remembered is soooo overpriced. Check Etsy for a cheaper alternative!
  • I'd love something like that.  I'm planning on something similar for my MOHs and me, and something for my FG.

I checked Etsy for frames and the only ones they seem to really have that are personalized are wooden engraved ones.  They are nice, but just not the style that I was going for.  I sucked it up and did the more expensive Things Remembered route.  But I found a 15% discount coupon code online (I think they only took off 10%).  It is TRSAVE15 is good until 9/15.  Plus I scored free shipping since my total was over $100.

  • I absolutely love that idea and don't think it's cheesy at all!

I bought separately for each BM so I don't know that it'll be much help...some of the gifts included a necklace, a gallery canvas wrap, a massage gift certificate, a bottle of wine with a handpainted wine glass, a spa gift card, and a jewelry box (obviously not all for one girl).  I really tried to use that line and to think like I would shopping for their birthdays.  What do they like to do, where do they like to go, etc. and go from there.

  • I would love a gift like that.  A picture frame with a quote related to your relationship with each girl sounds perfect!  I kind of wish I had thought of that!

That is a really good Idea!
I could not make up my mind so I finally just went to the mall one day. I bought each of the girls a tote bag from charming charlie's and then stopped at Bath and body works and bought some of their mini's when they were 3 for $10, I picked their fav. scent and I made them into little gift sets and wrapped them with ribbon that I already had. They also had all of their candles on sale that day so I picked out a fall scented candle and a holder for each of them. I think I am also going to get them each a bottle of their Fav. wine. Plus I will be putting in a pair of flip flops, a shawl and a cute little clutch for them to have for the wedding.
