Budget beach wedding

My fiance and I are looking to get married on the water in northern michigan... any ideas for venues? We were budgeted at $10k for the food, drinks, and venue, but that price is looking slightly unrealistic. Visiting Grand Traverse Resort this weekend... I would appreciate any advice!

    Google "Mackinac state historic parks" - they have some nice venues in Mackinaw City and on Mackinac Island.

    Look at Visions at Centerpointe in Traverse City.  I'm having my reception there, but they do have ceremony options if you are having a smaller wedding.  They are very fair priced and it's sort-of "all-inclusive" They have in house catering, wait and barstaff, DJ, and centerpiece options.

    I looked at Grand Traverse Resort as well...They are quite pricey!  Hope this helps!

    Try looking into the Holiday Inn West Bay in Traverse City, it is on the water and you can have an indoor or an outdoor reception.  We are getting married there on the beach and then having the reception inside.  We are definitely coming in under 10,000 for just food, drinks and venue.
