Need a Good/Cheap Photographer

Hi There - I'm trying to get married in early January 2012 and I need a few suggestions for a good, but reasonably priced, photographer who does work in the D.C./M.D./V.A. area. Can anyone recommend some good options asap? Thanks in advance.

You might check out Kat Forder Photography. Kat has been a wedding photographer for a while. However, she recently moved to the DC area from Ottawa, so her rates are lower than average while she builds up her business in this country.

I'm going to be using John South Photography for my Sept 2012 wedding. John and his wife are wonderful people and the pictures I've seen from their other weddings are beautiful. You cannot beat his price either. AND, John was beyond generous when I asked him to customize a package for me and threw in a lot of extras at no cost.

We used Martin Torre (www.torrephotography.com), and he was fantastic! We loved ALL of the photos he took (except for one, I think--a candid shot in which we moved right when he took it). His prices (listed on the website) are quite good and his packages include a DVD with all of the images--no watermarks or copyrights! We didn't need prints or a photobook from him, so we went with the lowest-priced package, which was $800 and included enough time for our ceremony, reception, and some getting ready pics.

Cheap and good do not go together. Most cases, you get what you pay for. Be cautious and interview with many questions.
