Hey everybody! My FI & I def want to to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Any advice on cheap flights, where to stay, what to do? I am thinking we want to go to the Maui area.

    When H and I started planning our HM to Hawaii (unfortunately after buying our house we had to cancel those plans and start over for something a bit less expenisve) we were going to rent a house/condo instead of staying at a resort.  We found that by going this route was a lot less expensive, but of couse we would miss out on a lot of the amenities a resort/hotel would provide.

    That is all the help I can provide because we really never got much further then looking at lodging.

    Yeah we are def going to be renting a condo/house. Someone recommended using homeaway.com & I have checked it out...GREAT deals.

    I would also check out VRBO.  Similar to HomeAway but they may have different choices to pick from.

    B&Bs in Maui are also super reasonable.  We are headed that way on Wednesday. . . . B&Bs are like a third of the prize of hotels, if that.

    Just returned from 5 days on Maui and 2 days on Oahu. Maui was amazing! We stayed af the Westin Maui Resort and Spa. I love love loved it! We are already thinking of our next trip back, So relaxed and so much outdoorsy stuff to do. Oahu was overly crowded and so much traffic. We stayed on Waikiki at the Moana Surfrider. The hotel was great but there were just so many people! We did take a drive one day up to the North Shore and that was awesome. So I guess if you stay away from the major city, you'll be alright,

    Do you have any info on the B&B you are staying at, or one you have stayed in?
