Non-Responsive Vendors - Vent

I am seriously beside myself with vendors who don't respond to at least say "Hi! Received your email, we're swamped now but will get back to you with X days!"

I can't tell you the number of emails that have gone completely unresponded to by my caterer and stationer. When they do finally get back in touch with me, they're sweet as pie, apologies all around, and do great work. But this lack of communication just two weeks before the wedding is grating on my nerves.

My florist and DoC at least have always been responsive, kind, helpful, and everything a vendor should be!

    I feel your pain!!!  My wedding is in Hawaii and the Hawaiian people are known for being laid back.  Well, they're driving me CRAZY!!!!  They never return phone calls or emails and it's difficult to get anything done.  The one vendor who has always been easily accesible is the photographer.  God Bless him!!!
    Our priest has seemes a bit loopy.  I'll be sending him emails & calling him to make sure he is there.  If he doesn't show up, I guess we'll still have a big party & get married at city hall the next day.  Yikes!!!!

    I'm so glad I'm not the only one! The thing that makes me especially crazy is I deal with clients all day with my job and I'm expected to get back to them if not immediately, then definitely within one business day. So being a type A person who responds almost immediately all the time, it's especially frustrating when vendors wait weeks to get back to me. At least it seems that now we're within 10 days (OMG!), they seem to be a lot more responsive.
