Maggiano's is already booked...bummer!

Now that the ceremony is booked and it feels like a HUGE weight is lifted the next step is to book the reception.  Maggiano's is already booked the entire day of my wedding so now I'm needing suggestions.  Here's what I'm looking for and I know you Vegas guru's will have the perfect idea for me

1- don't want to go over $3k for the meal and drinks for 30ppl.
2- want to be able to have some dancing
3- want a private room area

TIA!  This board and everyone is so amazingly helpful I don't think I could have done this without your help!

That happened to us too! Maggiano's was one of our top choices. Try Grand Lux. Your budget would work there and there's room for dancing. We went there on our scouting trip and it was our "runner up" (we went with the Platinum instead). Here's what my review after visiting:

"The private room is amazing. Rich was very straightforward, no BS, and I really appreciated that. Initially, I was concerned that if we went with appetizers only, there would not be enough food for our guests...he reminded me that Grand Lux is basically the same thing as cheesecake factory...so the appetizers are huge. He assured me that appetizers would be plenty of food for our guests. Their cocktail reception is $34 pp and their bar packages are pretty reasonable too (beer & wine, 3 hours, $28 pp). The only drawback (for me), is that there are not any windows or a patio. I was really hoping to see some vegas lights at the reception. I asked Rich if they ever do ceremonies in the room and he said that he's done them 2 or 3 times....He didn't seem too enthusiastic about it, but he said if we keep it simple, it can be done."

Same issue here.  I was going with Maggiano's at first, but decided I didn't like the $3000 minimum +20% service charge.  I would have ended up having to pay $800 for their DJ and dance floor to hit the $3000.  They are $90 a person with drinks which isn't bad, but our guests won't drink that much so it is wasted money.

Last week we booked PJ Clarkes in the Forum Shops @ Caesars.  They have the private Sidecar room.  We'll have 30 people, room to dance (no need to bring in a dance floor) and they allow DJ's.

They also have a HUGE bar (bigger than Maggiano's) private bathrooms and a Jukebox if you dont want a DJ.

Their buffet or family style start at $45 a person so it was great for our budget.  We'll toss another $400 in for Bar and any more than that people can pay themselves.  That saves us a ton of money, I doubt our guests will even drink $400 in a booze.   You can do bar packages as well, but they start at $35 per person for Beer/Wine and go up.   They'll also let swap in any food you want as well from any menu (some of the premium food does cost more)

The menu was more diverse as well.  Maggiano's is very heavy italian food.  We want a nice mix, which PJ Clarkes has.

Maggiano's is really cool, but I didn't like the $3000 minimum.  PJ Clarke's didn't have that either. I also found the location for us better, as we're at Caesars for our wedding so I save $300 on Transportation. And I like the location better as it's completely private.....Maggiano's is right on the strip and huge windows looking outside.

    30 people, x $45 + 20% service charge + 8.1%tax + 400bar = $2269. (might be slightly off)

From what I remember Joes seafood at Caesars has private room options where you can have dancing. I don't know minimums or anything like that. Check out opentable and look at the private dining section. It shows pictures of the private rooms at Joes. Click here.

I left a message for Rich at Grand Lux today.  And I'm going to call Joe's tomorrow.  I've never heard of PJ Clarke's, but it looks super yummy!  It looks like a place we have in Tampa called Spaghetti Warehouse, it's my favorite restaurant ever.

What are you doing at the Platinum?

Ooops. Just saw your question. Well, I'm actually deciding that right now since our menu is due to the Platinum in a few days. I think we're going to go with appetizers and stations. Trying to keep it around $85 per person (including the bar).

They have a lot of options to choose from: plated dinners, buffets, or stations. Their bar packages start at $30 per person for 4 hours (beer & wine). Dinners start at $31.

Anyway, drop them an email...they usually respond pretty quickly, and you can look over all the options!
