Rehersal Dinner HELP!

We are having a destination wedding with my fiance' being in the military, since we have so many people from so many different places. So my question is since everyone will be out of town quest how do I handle the rehersal dinner?? The wedding is very intimate and small so everyone invited is many immediate family and just few close friends...  SO WHO DO I INVITE??!!! Just wedding party and immediate family?? But that would be almost everyone minus handful so I feel like some family/friends might feel left out? Especially since his best men are his military brothers so it would be their wives/fiance's so why would would I not invite my family?? Please help!

    I would say if the wedding includes immediate family and close friends, and if inviting all of them to the rehearsal dinner would only exclude a handful of people, then just invite everyone. Is it a matter of budget? Or just not knowing who to include? If it were me, I would just go ahead and invite everyone since it's already a small guest list anyway. That way you're not excluding just a handful of select people. That's my two cents :)

    Keep in mind, the rehearsal dinner doesn't have to be anything fancy. A nice barbeque or something like that works just fine.

    Who's paying for it? If it's not you and your FI, I wouldn't make any final decisions until you have this conversation with them. However, assuming all that is squared away, I agree with MC--perhaps some can't take the extra day to travel and won't come, and it definitely doesn't have to be fancy. I had such a great RD, it was a perfect relaxing fun night!

    I had a destination wedding as well, we invited everyone to the rehearsal. However our rehearsal dinner was 2 days before the wedding, so that wasn't everyone but still the majority of the guests. I would probably invite everyone though.

    We had a low country boil for ours and it was on the beach so if there were guests that we knew had already checked in then they were welcome to come.  Most of our guest were from out of town.  If is something like a bbq then it is pretty cheap to feed people.

    We're having a bit of a destination wedding, but I think most will be arriving on Saturday anyway.  Because my FMIL doesn't want to pay for everyone, we're having parents, siblings, grandparents, and wedding party (and dates/families) invited to rehearsal dinner.

    I am also having a small DW, and am inviting everyone to the RD. I figured they're paying all that money to come out to the wedding the least I can do is give them dinner for a night. I am having a very low key dinner at a local italian resturaunt. I think it was about $10-15 a person.
