Cheap Venues?

Due to some recent bouts of bad luck, we are completely overhauling the wedding. I found one place, Norwood Park Historical Society for $500, but I really don't like the style of the house. I really like Redifeld estate, but I can only get it for 700 if I have the wedding and reception somewhere between 8am and 2pm on a Friday. I don't know if we can swing a Monday through Thursday wedding to get the later time.

Anyone know of any other cheap places?

Also, a place that would let me bring my own caterer would be awesome.

I have found ti much cheaper to go to a place that does everything for yorather than rent out a place and bring in a caterer.  My FSIL is having hers at Concorde banquets in Palatine and I think packages for a Saturday start at $50 (food, liquor, linens, cake)  Also, the Chateau Ritz in Des Plaines is about the same I think

I really want to rent a place out and bring in a caterer but I found it thousands of dollars less to do it at a "package" type place.   You can also google "banquet hall" and the town your are looking in if this is the route you decide to go.

Not sure the exact area you are looking for, but Georgio's banquets in Orland park is about $50 per person also for food, 4 hour open bar, cake, hotel wedding suite for the night, linens, etc.

I'm in the Norwood Park area too. Here are a list of places that are close (ish) that are pretty reasonable. All of them are around $50/pp or less and include food, open bar, cake, etc. I've only ever been to Chateau Ritz so I can't recommend the other places, I've just seen them online, but it should at least give you a start! GOOD LUCK!

I'm doing mine at Monastero's banquets. Devon and Pulaski. The most expensive plate was $58 for beef tenderloin medallions. They have a great open bar package, cake included, and different rooms for your party size. Try them out, they definitely work with you and your budget!
