Hump Night Thread

So...who's around?

I finished the majority of escort cards last night; I'm trying to settle down because I got an email informing me that I have to give a presentation tomorrow. Apparently the direct care program had three neglect incidents in the last 6 days so as the investigator and incident reporting trainer, I'm pulling together a meeting tomorrow morning before program starts.

FI is upstairs since I put him on Thank You note duty; then we're watching criminal minds!

Who's around and whatcha doing???

  • Hey, I'm here.
Finished our banners, I love how they turned out!

Trying to think of ways to decorate our venue. I'm thinking of tulle. But, it's kind of expensive!

<div>That's an awesome barn!  Could you look into using muslin instead of tulle?  I'm not sure how it would compare in cost, but I've always heard of muslin being an inexpensive fabric.</div><div>
</div><div>Or, if fabric ends up being too expensive, white twinkly or rope lights always look good in barns like that!</div>

That's beautiful!  I was looking at some barns but couldn't find one that nice.
You can check other boards/craigslist/ebay for people selling tulle.  I've also seen people who have framed doorways with hanging paper cranes for luck, which would be cheaper, but would require a ton of patience.
Let's see... chinese lanterns... christmas lights.... If your wedding has a vintage/rustic feel, hanging old window panes arounf or using them for your seating chart is a cool idea.

</div><div>I will definitely look into that idea!</div><div>
</div><div>ETA:</div><div>I looked at muslin online and it's really not what I'm looking for. I think I will just bite the bullet with the tulle... IDK how, but I will figure it out.

  • Yup. Everyone (me, Fi, dad, and mom) is taking dance lessons. My parents will be celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary so we are giving them a special dance. My FMIL is no longer with us but Fi and my mom our learning a few moves.
