Engagement Pic Locations?

Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are planning to have our engagement pictures taken next month in the Des Moines region, and we're really excited! We are, however, having a hard time coming up with location ideas (my fiance is from the area, although I am not). I love nature and I'd really like to pick a natural, scenic place. Does anyone have any suggestions? 

We may also opt to have some our photos taken in a second indoor location, so we're open to any ideas as far as that, as well.

    My wedding ceremony is taking place at the Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge, in West Des Moines. There's a large lake and some tall wheat grass (or something like that). So that's really pretty.
    Also, the Valley Junction area has cute scenery too, like brick walls and cute benches.
    But real outdoorsy, I'd also say Gray's Lake.

    You could get them done by the Covered Bridges in Winterset?

    The botanical center!!! You get get them done around the gardens outdoors and would be right next to downtown and you can also go indoors at the botanical center!!!

    what about the high trestle bridge bike path near madrid--it has beautiful views and the bridge structure is unique.
